I was going through some photos and found this. I'd forgotten all about it, but these are the colors for our house. The darker cabinet and darker carpet were our ultimate choices. We also went with a darker vinyl for the kitchen and bathrooms, but you get the idea.
We'll have laminate countertops with a tumbled stone backsplash, birch cabinets, a vinyl floor, a stone tile entryway, and carpet throughout. We upgraded the carpet from super cheap to semi-cheap. The birch cabinets were also an upgrade.
I think the colors are very "green", which is so you -- both of you. You can always upgrade down the road. A little at a time. In the meantime, you are going to have a beautiful, relaxing home. Mom
ReplyDeleteThanks Mom! The colors aren't quite so green in person, I don't think. The samples are, but Emily said it's not so green in the house. We'll see. At any rate, I think we're going to really like the colors.
ReplyDeleteWe're pretty sure the lighter carpet in this picture is exactly the same that we chose. Also, the linoleum looks exactly the same as what we put in our master bathroom. Great choices!
ReplyDeleteWe tended to go for the lighter colors over the darker colors because of Aeris' light hair (that gets everywhere) and because we wanted the house to be full of light whenever we could get it. I think we've had some pretty good success so far.
Your colors look great, it will be exciting to see how it all comes together.
