The wood mold for the concrete foundation is completely up and appears ready for pouring. It was fun to walk "through" the house today and imagine where everything will be. We also have a better idea of just how big (or small!) our yard will be. The side yards will only be about 5 feet from house to fence. The backyard will be a bit bigger and it's still hard to tell there since there's a lot of dirt piled back there. I'm glad we were able to get a larger lot...the other lots are 2 feet narrower and 10 feet shorter! That makes a big difference on small lots like ours.
We are so excited for you guys!!! I love your idea for the front porch and it will give you two a great stepup for your growing business. Yay for new houses!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Now I'm back to the junkiest place of all! Oh well. I'm excited for you. What a difference in less than three years! God works in wonderful ways when we feel like all is lost. I can't wait to see the pictures as the house "grows". Does Camille understand what is happening yet? ReplyDeleteYes, Camille seems to understand that this will be our house. We've explained at length that we'll be driving by often and sometimes getting out to see. We've walked through other houses that are in process so she's seen them coming together. She says she's excited, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she's excited, even if she's not 100% sure about what! She'll have it soon though. As soon as you have walls and can walk through "her" room, she'll make it hers. That will be such fun. I remember how you loved the friendly lights in your new room when we moved to Greentop. You'll have to make sure Camille has friendly lights too.
